Celebrating over half a century in business affords us the opportunity of reflecting on those things that have helped make Langer Construction Company successful. Such an event also challenges us to look to the future and determine what we want the firm to be and how we want to do business.
What is truly gratifying in taking a look back in time is that Langer's success can be traced to three main reasons... reasons that will continue to be important and guide us in the future. They are:
SINCE THE FIRM'S BEGINNING IN 1946, clients have come to expect quality, honesty and integrity in the way we do business. As a client-oriented organization, management and staff at Langer have always understood that building client relationships is the backbone of our firm... that learning about and responding to client needs is the key to delivering quality projects and to maintaining a repeat base of business that through the years has consistently exceeded 50%.
THE LANGER FAMILY TRADITION OF A HANDS-ON APPROACH to projects has been passed on from retired founder Lou Langer to sons Tom, who presently heads the Construction company, and Dave, who runs Langer's Real Estate & Property Management operation. The Langer team approach to this day still involves our project managers and staff earning the trust of our clients by personally working closely with them to assure quality projects, on-time scheduling, and cost effective results.
MAINTAINING OUR REPUTATION AS A QUALITY BUILDER AND REAL ESTATE FIRM in large part is due to our dedicated professional staff. Many of our people have been with us for 15 to 30 years and more. This allows us to offer clients proven construction experience, a staff that is constantly learning new techniques, and people who care about and want to exceed client needs.
These are the things that have guided Langer Construction in the past, and these are the things that will continue to be important for Langer in the future.

Langer Construction was one of the first general contractors in the region to offer clients the option of alternative project delivery approaches such as design/build and construction management (while still ensuring craftsmanship of work). Looking to the future, Langer's goal is to continue to add services that will better serve our clients. For example, only recently Langer's real estate arm introduced full service "Program Management" which means we can now address our client needs during all phases of their expansion and/or relocation process. These services encompass the following six areas:
NEEDS ASSESSMENT: Langer performs a comprehensive needs assessment of all client departments to determine what is needed to make client operations more efficient from a space utilization standpoint.
FINANCING ALTERNATIVES:
FACILITY DEVELOPMENT: We help clients master plan their needs, be they expansion, relocation, or lease options.
SITE SEARCH SELECTION DEMOGRAPHICS, EMPLOYMENT, ETC: Langer provides all the research and investigation into available sites and what will best serve the client.
ON BEHALF OF CLIENTS, We Negotiate with Developers, Brokers, Cities, HRAs for Site or Building Acquisition and, When Available, Financial Support.
